How It All Started

The journey began on sustainable farms, where I worked as an agricultural technician. One of my daily responsibilities was making sure every animal had access to clean water.

The more I worked, the more I realized just how critical water really is. Over time, I saw that this issue goes far beyond farms, in many places, even in homes, people still struggle to access clean and reliable water.

Despite global progress, around 2.2 billion people in 2025 still don’t have access to clean, safe drinking water. That’s nearly 1 out of every 4 people on Earth.

We humans often take it for granted, but without water, there is no future.

One day, I decided to take that same passion for sustainable water systems and use it to serve people. Because it doesn’t matter who you are, everyone deserves access to clean water. And if I can do it in a way that reduces plastic waste and saves trillions of gallons of potable water each year, why wouldn’t I?

That’s how The Fountain Direct was born.

Facundo a few years ago, on the farm where the idea began.

We believe that access to safe hydration should never be complicated, whether it’s in a school, park, business, or home. Everyone deserves reliable solutions that last for decades.

But our mission goes beyond just providing products. We’re here to encourage smarter water use by offering solutions that reduce waste, support refill culture, and eliminate the need for single-use plastics. Every fountain, system, and shower we provide is part of building healthier, more hydrated communities.

We also believe in passing that knowledge on to future generations. It’s not only about installing solutions today, it’s about teaching others how to manage, reuse, and truly value our most important resource.

As the saying goes: Give a person a fish, and you feed them for a day. Teach them to fish, and you feed them for a lifetime.

What inspired you to start your business?

Water quality around the world is getting worse every day, and statistics show an alarming future. We realized that in many places, people don’t have easy access to clean, potable water. Helping these people and their families is our inspiration.

We also think about those who do have access but rely on treated water and pay expensive bills for it. We want fathers and mothers to teach their children how can collect and reuse water from our environment in a sustainable way.
